“I am a freshman at ARHS dont even let me get started on this high school, it is amazing i cant believe its not on the top 100 list. My teachers push me to do my best and when i have trouble i get help right away. The school building is perfect and i have made many friends in my school year, which obviously shows how nice evryone is around this area. Its too bad they dont have this school in some of the struggling neighborhoods in Western Massachusetts, but this school realy brings out how magnificent the town it is located in is. Every one of the teachers are very open to any feedback and will give you extra time on anything you are stuggling on. I am in special ed. and it is the best department i have ever seen. Even better than my old school in california!”

I was much more prepared for a rigorous college education than many of my college classmates were. I have now been teaching in public schools for 6 years, and I know now that Amherst is in another world compared to a lot of public schools.”
